marlins say no

Easy no for Marlins. Dodgers reporter mentioned that Lopez's asking price is "insane" to BA's midseason #2 farm team in baseball, even more so than that of Luis Castillo who netted #10 prospect in baseball. More of Valera (#32)+ Rocchio (#72).

Cleveland hangs up the phone when they hear "Val........

How about Rocchio and Benson instead of Aries and Jones? I think Miami would prefer that combo.

BigBat

For a SP like Lopez, I think the Guardians still do it. Giving up Rocchio doesn't seem like something Cleveland's FO seems willing to do, but they'd have to consider this deal I think.

Cleveland gets an SP for a 2023 rotation of Bieber, Lopez, McKenzie, Civale and Quantrill with Espino, Williams and Bibee knocking at the door by end of year. Miami gets a young MIF prospect ready to go, a COF/1st baseman, and starter to eat innings if their young pitching needs some time.
