Why’s that? To get the top closer in the game? People tend to overpay a little when they want to win now. And you’re also getting a top prospect back it’s not like you’re getting just the closer. I disagree with you
This should be a win win for both teams, reds get an awesome defensive catcher for their pretty awesome pitching staff, they get senzel’s replacement in a year, and they also get the leagues best closer to finish off their all in off season and might put them over the top. San Diego gets the center fielder they’ve been looking for, and Yates is kind of expendable since they acquired Pagán from Tampa. Any opinions?
Why Most closer's are up and down. Nick has good chance to be a star, and 6 years of control is way too much to give up. Reds still have several good options for Closer, especially if Bell does not mess with iggy's brain again.
