4If Cleveland trades both Lindor and Ramirez, that would signal a total rebuild and then they would not want Alonso. Indian President Chris Antonetti talked recently sharing the goal of remaining competitive. The Indians are not trading Jose Ramirez.
But Alonso And Giminez are mlb staters with many years of control. The money saved could net them another piece to compete, no?
Jose Ramirez contract: 2021: 9M 2022: 11M 2023: 13M Cleveland will not be trading a perennial MVP candidate who makes comparative peanuts. At least, not until after 2022.
I can see a possible trade with Lindor and Gimenez as the main pieces, but there is no way that Jose Ramirez is traded. Ramirez is the energy for the Indians and one of the top players in baseball. I agree with Stolen Yesterday.
