3Cleveland's biggest need is to improve their outfield offense. There is nothing here that will help fill that weakness. O'Neil has not shown that he can hit.
I understand what you tried to do. With losing Lindor's offense, the Indians need to find some in return. I just don't see O'Neil being that answer. I don't see the Cardinals as a good trade match as they are also weak in the outfield.
I agree with you on that. I've never been big on him, but the Indians needed to improve their offense in the Clevinger trade too. They settled with Hedges and Naylor. Naylor hasn't shown too much more than O'Neil has to this point. They're both still young and still have potential. I was trying to mimic the Clevinger trade in a way, and Edman and O'Neil seemed like a couple young MLB guys Cleveland might be interested in.
