For the Mets: They turn nothing into something (a decent OF prospect). For the Braves: Barnes was just DFA'd, but he'd be a decent add to the pen. Smith is just extra OF depth after Marcell Ozuna was arrested. Thoughts?

If the Mets trade Barnes, it won't be anything remotely this good. I'd be surprised if said player (it'd likely be cash) was even in the system. That said, if the Braves really want Barnes, they are 6th in the waiver order. There are decent odds they can simply claim him, or some other reliever if Barnes is unavailable.
