1Interested in seeing what type of feedback this gets. Montas has shown top of the rotation potential and is controlled for the next two seasons at very reasonable arb prices. Helps to replace E-Rod in the rotation, and there is enough depth up the middle in the system (Namely with Downs) to feel okay about dealing Yorke For the A’s, they need an infusion of talent throughout their minor league system and this deal would be a part of a larger scale rebuild which sees at least Manaea and Bassitt dealt and likely at least one of Olson or Chapman as well. Yorke is the prize here as a high-floor middle infield prospect with strong command of the strike zone, especially considering his age relative to level. Jimenez is a high-ceiling type who didn’t have the breakout year many had hoped for but didn’t fall on his face and still possesses many of the tools that have some hope for a breakout. Groome has lost a lot of his prospect shine, but is close to the majors and had a nice 2021. Hope for Oakland is that this package of players could begin to be ready to contribute by 2024, and can lead to another cycle of contention (hopefully IN Oakland)
