7I love it… but ummm why? Haha
Hard to see the Guardians sending cash in a deal.
If we try to be as objective as possible when looking at this deal and ask ourselves why would Cleveland give up their young, inexpensive, and extremely talented closer in a deal that considerably undersells his value? Cleveland already has the lowest payroll in MLB and is looking to add to it so the 10M cash is of little use. In the end this deal makes absolutely no sense for Cleveland or any team looking to contend as soon as 2022.
You wish! lol
Because he can throw a 102mph cutter. I'm honestly surprised this site thinks McGee is so highly valued when Camilo Doval exists.
McGee's numbers are terrific, he's been very good most of his career, and he's very underpaid now relative to his projections. Doval's value is definitely going up, but he's still an untested rookie who came mostly out of nowhere, so he needs to develop more of a track record.
Thanks for your observations (and this site). I guess I'm just frustrated by the frequent heart attacks McGee gave me last season.
