Whitesox save roughly 6m in 2022 salary. Which also explains the 6.8 value difference. Jays add bullpen arm for roughly 6m leaving more payroll space to add another bat/starter.

That's not how this works. Excess value takes into account the salary. Sox don't need a mediocre OF, either.
