This trade gets Olson to a new home, the Phillies get valuable starting pitching and Billy Beane gets 3/4 of a new infield going into the future.

Phillies have holes in the pen, IF defense, and have one MLB OF on their roster. The only strength of the team is SP.

Why would the Phillies trade one of the only really good prospects for a guy who plays a position they don’t need as well as creating a hole in the bullpen. We already have Wheeler, Nola, Suarez, Gibson, and Eflin, unless they’re planning on have a 6 man rotation this deal does not make sense for the Phillies.

Rangers would do it. I can dig it. Deal! (shakes hands)

Down vote for Oakland & Philly. Duran tanked after coming over form the Yankees. Lowe hit 18 HR in 642 PA, hitting the ball on the ground at a near-Hosmer pace. Stott is good but the Phillies need MI help desperately and I doubt they'll include him for 1 year of Bassitt.
