5A bold trade by both teams. I think the only way this trade would happen is at the trading deadline and Cleveland is out of playoff contention and the Blue Jays desperately need a starter to win the A.L. East. Also, all 4 players involved in this trade would probably have to be having good years. I still don't think it would happen but I would like to see CNT_'s reasoning on this trade. Personally, I like to see bold proposals like this.
My thought is if the guardians decide to blow it up and decide to go after some prospects that will help them on the future and the jays want a dominate pitcher to win their division I think all these 3 prospects could help Cleveland on the future if devolved correctly
Hopefully you realize that if Cleveland did decide to do that(they won't), this offer isn't even close. Cleveland doesn't need Martinez unless he can play a corner OF. They don't need Groshans either as his stock is plummeting. Ask yourself if Bieber is made available, how many teams would bid for his services? You think the Blue Jays can get him for this undervalued deal?
CNT, did you consider Cleveland's needs? Cleveland needs controllable OF help in the corners much more than two more infield prospects where the Guardians are stockpiled. Cleveland just rostered 11 of their prospects to their 40 man roster to protect them from the rule 5 draft. With a strong farm system, a solid controllable closer, and controllable starting pitching with depth, Cleveland is not going to blow it up.
Thanks for your reply CNT and also the views of the others.
