3This is a starting conversation, and I might get flamed for it. What would the Rangers be willing to part with in the minor league system to acquire JD Davis? I picked two prospects that added up to JD, but I don’t really know the Rangers system very well, and I would rather hear from Rangers fans about this. Thoughts, Rangers fans? Is there a deal to be had here, or is JD Davis just not someone that fits the bill in Texas.
Rangers fan here. I don’t think the Rangers want to be in position at the moment to give up any of their prospects. Vanasco has a lot of upside but hasn’t pitched since 19’. I think the Rangers have built their farm system back up over the past two years and maybe a trade of that nature would be considered if the Rangers were contending at the deadline and looking to make a push?

Thanks for the response! I just have zero idea of how the Rangers are evaluating prospects at the moment. Maybe they cleared up all of this space to trade for Olson, Manaea, JRam, others, who knows? They are clearly pushing more chips into the middle of the table, but maybe those chips don’t get spent on a JD Davis.
