1Why, ....the Yankees get the starter they are looking for, and clear away Britton's contract, in effect, lowering their payroll by 5 million even with the addition of Manaea. while the A's take on money, they get a much better prospect, then if they just traded Manaea strait. With the trading of Olson, Bassit and likely Chapman and their being able to start getting money from the league, adding a few million is not a killer.
