Down vote for Oakland. No Volpe, no deal. The Yankees have no leverage here other than to give Oakland whatever centerpiece they want. Even the A's can afford to pay league minimum in 2022.

Completely understand your viewpoint there. I'm pretty neutral as far as the Yankees/Oakland thing goes. I was curious to see how Texas could alleviate that cost to Oakland should they acquire Gallo back from the Yankees.
