5As a mariner fan if they really wanted Montas this is what i would give up that i could live with, If Oakland doesnt accept this than move on and fugetaboutit. 1st mlb ready players raleigh, trammell, and sheffield, then rhp stoudt and last 1st round pick ford. All young decent players for 2 years of a decent pitcher.
Ya i think they really like Raleigh, but you are correct i couldnt find a trade without adding him or Brash, and you never know with Dipoto he could trade anyone at anytime. Thanks for the feedback.
Fugetaboutit. With Murphy AND Langeliers in the fold, plus Soderstrom a couple years behind, Raleigh is a bad fit. Maybe there's a 3 team deal out there that sends a Catcher somewhere else? Even if Oakland liked the ither players being offered (and they shouldn't, because Sheffield isn't very good and Trammell has concerns) the deal is DOA over Raleigh. They can't make a deal where half the trade value is on a luxury item.

Good i dont want Montas anyway, There was a trade up top earlier and you asked Mariner fans to put together a trade if the Mariners had to have Montas so i did. A rebuilding team could always put together another trade with a different team using their surplus of catchers after they trade with the Mariners. You asked i provided what i would trade for him. There is no way that they would get Brash for Montas. i wouldnt even trade them 1 for 1
I thank you for the effort and I imagine Brash is a sticking point between the two teams in reality. I understand the hesitancy at including him and it’s why I think Manaea would be a much better fit for Seattle… but there doesn’t seem to be interest there. I thought Raleigh was something of a key player in Seattle’s immediate future. Is that not the case?
