8Why would the Red Sox do this? They get virtually nothing back
Got to do better then Perdomo, Gray is ok , maybe replace Perdomo with Herbert Perez or Ethan Small
There's no way that happens. No way.
The Brewers aren't getting rid of Ethan Small or Hedbert Perez for a guy hitting under .200.
I agree with you Garman, and in addition, why would the Brewers do this? Why get an expensive rental hitting .200 when the Brewers already have the positions covered that Hernandez plays? At this point, Perdomo is more needed on the Brewers than Hernandez would be. If Hernandez had a longer contract it might make some sense but not as a rental.
I think it makes perfect sense. With Cain struggling, Hernandez would be a great fit in Center for half a season. He also can play a little SS to give Adames a day off here and there. He's hitting under .200 so I can't imagine the asking price is going to be too high. Also these values are way off. No chance Ethan Small is getting traded for half a season of Kike Hernandez.
Kike had a rough start but the last 2 weeks has gone; 14/53 with 10 runs scored, 6 dbls, 1 hr, 7 rbi & is a gold glove defender. I think he would help any team needing a CF with the playoffs in sight. If the Red Sox could find 2 top of the rotation starters, a closer & a RF they wouldn’t even consider moving him.
They can hang onto him, that's fine. Asking for Small, Perez, or Mitchell in return is laughable. He's not going to yield close to that return even if he starts to play better.
