Brewers sasy no and hang up quickly. Laureano offers the Brewers nothing that they don't already have. This would be a waste for Milwaukee.

Since his good year in 2019, Laureano is hitting .236/.323 and hasn't shown the power he did then. In 2019 he had 24 HRs. and 67 RBI. Since then he has hit a total of 24 HRs and has a total of 77 RBIs for the last three years combined. Just not anything for the Brewers to get excited about much less trade some of their better prospects for.

Down vote for Oakland. The A's have no need for Turang.

I agree that Laureano isn't worth the price he would require. This is why the Brewers would consider him if the cost were to come down... Tyrone Taylor this year versus lefties: .186/.273/.322/.595 for a wRC+ of 67. Well below league average. He's above league average against righties though. Ramon Laureano this year versus lefties: .300/.417/.480/.897 for a wRC+ of 166. He has graded below average defensively this year, but still can make amazing plays and has a laser arm. He would be an excellent platoon pairing with Taylor. Back to the original point though, Laureano would cost way too much for a platoon player. The prospects that Milwaukee would have to give up, the arbitration salaries that will be due, the PED cloud, all of it points to this deal not happening.
