3IMO, Kelenic is over-rated for the key piece in a trade for Castillo. He is hitting .140 with an OPS of .510. I have to say no on this one.
Could be controversial but you have to give up something to get something. M’s aren’t going to keep all of their OFs. Get some pitching help that they need while trading from a surplus. Drury can fill in for Toro since he’s been abysmal. Reds take a flyer on Sheffield and get a stud OF in return for Mahle. Sure you could probably rework this a bit for Castillo instead but I just don’t know if M’s have enough trade chips in the minors for the added value.
Yeah maybe but 2021 top 6 prospect in the game, .876 OPS in AAA this year. He’s either a great change of scenery candidate or is a AAAA guy who has fooled everyone in baseball.
