The Brewers would do this in an instant, but for the Royals it would be iffy at best. It all depends on how they view Mitchell and Severino. Ray and Bettinger are lottery tickets at this point. For the Brewers, to get Benintendi's bat in the lineup they would have to sacrifice OF defense and hope it doesn't cost them. Benintendi and Yelich are LFs only so one would have to DH. That moves McCutchon to CF and Taylor for late inning defense. Coleman is a nice throwin and could help the front end of the pen some.

1. Beni is probably a rental for the Brewers even though I hope he wouldn't be. MA needs to start spending. Beni's value has declined if indeed the Yankees are no longer interested in pursuing him because he is not vaccinated. The the Brewers are probably negotiating against the Padres and a dark horse or two. 2. Mitchell is available because Chourio is an ascending up the middle player and Frelick is an overall better prospect at this time. 3. Severino provides KC options at catcher and his intrinsic value is really more than a negative .9 for reasons I've outlined in other Brewers trades involving him. The Brewers really can't use him anyway since he ineligible for the post season. 4. If Beni walks I'd like to see the Brewers get some pitching in return that provides some upside and control. 5. Corey Ray needs a change of scenery at this point. A #1 pick that, for a number of reasons, has had some ups and downs. He is no longer in the Brewers plans as he was removed from the 40 man roster recently. It is time for both sides to move on.
