This is as realistic a scenario that can happen in one of these mock-trades. The Mets take on half of the remaining money owed to Strasburg. The Nationals receive the Mets no. 1, 3, & 5 prospects. Alvarez ranked 2nd in the league on Pipeline, Mauricio ranked 52nd, and Ramirez ranked 87th. The Mets sacrifice a ton from their prospect pool but in reality, only losing three players from a top heavy farm is better for their organizational depth moving forward than some of these trades including 5-6 prospects.
