Let me begin by saying this trade meets needs of both teams. Minnesota is looking for relief help, and they obtain one of the best relief pitchers in baseball. The Brewers need hitting and they get a high average, high OBP in a position ( 2B ) that needs upgrading. Both are all stars. These are the 2 main players in a trade but it certainly is possible different players could be added to make this trade more complete for both teams. This site has Arraez's value twice what Hader's value is, so I added Turang to validate the trade. Arraez is currently filling in for Soto at 1B, but Sono is on rehab and ready to return so maybe the Twins still hope Sono can get hot and cover some of the offense they will lose by trading Arraez. They obtain the relief pitching they need to make a run at the AL Central championship. Turang is a top 10 prospect in the Brewers farm system and is in AAA and could possibly be called up as soon as this year. If the Brewers trade Hader, I'd prefer they trade him to an American League team and this trade does that. In return, they get there starting 2B for the next 3.4 years and the hitting that they need. Arraez can play multiple positions also but according to Baseball Reference, he has very good fielding stats as a second baseman. Comments are welcome from both Brewer and Twins fans regarding this trade. You may want to add your own thoughts on other players to be included in this trade or comment on even the possibility of these two players being involved in a trade.
