3I don’t think this trade would interest the Rays. The Rays are set on pitching, so Walker wouldn’t interest them (even in a salary dump to get Stott). Plus, they’ve already given up significant trade capital for 2B this year (Lux and Williamson) and have top prospect Carson Williams making the MLB transition at SS.
yeah but honestly none of those infield options excite me. Lux isn't a great glove and saw most of his time in the OF last season. He's also a free agent this offseason. Williamson isn't an everyday guy imo. I also don't think what they gave up for either of those guys was that significant. And I'm not sure if Williams will ever hit over .200 in the majors. What do you think is fair value for Yandy?
If Yandy keeps hitting like he has the 1st week, the Rays are going to demand double his BTV trade value and insist on a trade package similar to what they received for Arozarena (ie: guys with upside to eventually place in the top 100 lists). I definitely think they will move Yandy at the trade deadline though.
