Rays say no. McClanny is an Ace when healthy. Berrios is a back of rotation pitcher or maybe just a MIRP. Huge downgrade. Jimenez isn’t likely to be more than a utility infielder. Rays already have that in Walls, Williamson and so many guys in the minors. Lukes is a lefty no-bat outfielder, which the Rays have too many of already. Little might be good (he was good last year at least), but he’s not as good as Jax, who is expected to be the Rays closer this year. Another downgrade. Stanifer could be good but he’s not enough to offset the rest of the trade (2 downgrades and 2 players the Rays don’t need). I can see the Rays trading McClanny and Jax at the deadline, but they’ll want top 100 prospects in return, not MLB depth pieces.
