3Cleveland has no interest in moving Arias right now... At least not in this type of deal..
Why overvalue a defense only righty infielder? There’s a bunch of Gabriel Arias’s out there. Not hard to replace. Even within the Guardians organization. I’ll take the guy with an extra year of control and better hitting upside. And I always see you in the comments preaching that Cleveland’s need for hitting. Would you rather move Rocchio?
Cleveland is not deep in SS right now organizationally... They value defense at the position and sincerely, it is just Arias, Rocchio and Schneemann with Genao just getting to AAA... Schneemann actually lacks the proper range for a SS, he just doesn't make errors and Rocchio lacks the proper arm strength... Rocchio cannot play 3B and has not played OF, so Arias is way more versatile off the bench, so Rocchio would be moved before Arias just because Arias is a plus defender at multiple positions... I am not against Mayo, but I think the Guardians want to add him to the group not subtract to add in a sense...
