5I am not sure why the Cubs do this since they don't get back guys who are anywhere near MLB ready...
Why would the Guardians do this? Makes no sense whatsoever.
Jonathan Long is a legit hitting prospect, but he is more of a DH... I feel like if we didn't have Fry and Manzardo could play 1B, this would be a smart move... I just don't think this is a move that makes sense for either team...
Long has no room in Chicago (not only in 2026 but past that too) so they liquidate him at his peak value for a couple lottery tickets
He wouldn't have any room in Cleveland either.
