Oh goody, the Rays complete their offseason having swapped J.Lowe for Fraley in the outfield and B.Lowe for Lux at 2B. In a season that is over before it even begins, the Rays have parted with another player with multiple years of control to add someone on an expiring contract. They didn’t get better today, they just lost a little bit of their future. Still a 70ish win team. Whoop-Dee-Friggin-Do.

Originally had something else posted. Changed my mind. I know he was your boy. Sorry it didn't work out.

Should have just non tendered Lowe. Wouldn't have to take on a shitty player. Once again, the Rays are terrible at player evaluation.

Leaving this here (regarding possible non-tenders): ShaquilleOatmeal November 14, 2025 at 7:04 PM I would certainly include Josh Lowe in this category. Not only has his production cratered, but you look at his statcast numbers, and you see a horrific ball player. You could confuse his statcast numbers with Taylor Walls, except for Taylor walls plays shortstop. Josh Lowe ranks in the bottom 10% of pretty much every statcast measurement. After such a good season in 2023, his arbitration number is going to be pretty high. The Rays have a ton of outfielders, and I would be very surprised if Josh Lowe was given the opportunity to earn $4 million in arbitration.
