No it’s 2 years for the Reds (if he gets something like 500 ABs then he’s guaranteed for 2027 also)
Actually there is a team option and a players option for 2027. Only the player’s option has conditions tied to it.
ah good to know. It would work if that second year works out, if not no IMHO.
Team option is only for $10MM I think. Meant to give the Rays injury protection I think. The Player’s option is for $13MM or so.
