3Mets pay 4.5M a year for two years to get Senga’s contract down to 10.5M a year for the Rays . Mets get their one year veteran DH and stop gap for Pete who will eventually be DH if the Mets don’t pick up Yandy Diaz 10M option for next year. . Rays get needed rotation piece with high upside and not much money tied to him

I don’t like the idea of the Rays adding a mid to back of rotation piece at significant cost (trade and cash), but there is a lot of smoke surrounding the Rays adding another expensive SP this offseason.
