5Just getting both guys a change of scenery...
This deal actually makes sense from Cleveland's perspective, but it's a fringe move for both teams. Dunn would make more sense if Cleveland were to deal for Moniak.
Moniak had negative WAR even though he hit .270 and 20 HRs... This deal is more about getting a RH bat for Cleveland who can play CF and for the Reds getting another RF who actually has potential with the bat. Francona is also familiar with Jones as well... Dunn still has two options, which is something Jones or Noel doesn't have for Cleveland
C'mon dude! Dunn is not a starter and if you want him to be your main CFer then you need your head examined. Nice cherry picking with Moniak too.
I didnt cherry pick... Moniak was literally one of the worst OFs and you stated in another post he would be our best CF... Cleveland wouldn't allow Moniak to hit the grass, he's that bad... Also, I never said Dunn would be our starting CF... He's a plus CF defensive that hits from the right side and would be a COMPLIMENTARY player for our team. I never once said he would be starting... I see Dunn as someone who is our 4th OF and I said that from the get go...
