7Giants trade Chapman in this scenario to a team needing a 3B like Yanks or Phils
Ramirez isnt available period... Even IF he was, Cleveland would just hang up and never speak to the Giants again...
Real profound insight. I hope you give better feedback to whatever you supposedly “coach.”Pretty much every player is available especially on a (mid market) team which stated they’re exploring a rebuild. Lastly, you’re on a site which is all about baseball trade values and this has the Giants giving up two top 100 prospects and a higher value than what they’re receiving.
Ramirez isnt available... He has a no trade clause so its a literal fact. He took a paycut to stay in Cleveland, so hes not being traded.. Now IF he was available... Reason why this is a deal Cleveland likely wouldn't do... They have Manzardo and Kayfus for 1B already and Velasquez that's due for MLB in 27, while Fry also plays 1B, so 1B is a position they don't need a top prospect at. Don't get me wrong,Eldridge likely is a top guy, but Cleveland believes in their group... Plus during Antonetti's reign with the Guardians, he would never trade a player like Ramirez for one top prospect, he would be looking for a package of players... It be more like Schmitt, Wisenhunt, Gonzalez, Whitman, Jordan type of return for Cleveland... An immediate replacement in Schmitt, a MLB ready SP prospect, a top 100 prospect that's farther away, then a couple more solid prospects that aren't Rule 5 eligible. Also, whoever told you they are looking to rebuild is an idiot... Cleveland has been in the playoffs 3 of the last 4 season with the youngest team in baseball the last four seasons... They aren't looking to rebuild at all, they actually want to take another step forward so they will be looking to add to the MLB roster not trade from it.
How about this for feedback. The deal is stupid from Cleveland's perspective. If I recall correctly, Cleveland is the playoff team so maybe the Giants should keep their "two top 100 prospects" and acquire some of Cleveland's several "top 100 prospects" instead. Nevermind that Ramirez has a full no trade clause and has stated that he is not leaving. Why would he want to. The best of Cleveland's prospects are just now getting to Cleveland and their offensive woes are about to come to an abrupt hault. Just make a trade with Ramos going to Cleveland for some prospects so that SF can get back into the playoffs within a few years.
Red Sox?
Like trading Chapman to Redsox too. Basically any team that can afford to take him. I’m sure Giants need to add a prospect or pay a bit of his deal down. I like a lot of your trades BTW
