11Marte plays RF for A’s. Stewart plays 3b. The position he played the most in the minors.
Down vote for the A's. If Stewart could play a quality 3B the Reds wouldn't have traded for Hayes. Trading Langeliers leaves the A's without a staring Catcher.
Grove, thanks for your feedback. I have never seen an A’s trade that you liked. Although I believe you asked if Marte could play a credible 3b in a recent proposal.
I do not believe the Reds would trade Stewart. The guy can also play 2b. I believe he will have better career numbers than Sal Bando.
So the A’s could not use Lodolo, Marte or Duno?
I don't think Lodolo raises the ceiling of the A's rotation. Marte has had issues but disregard that, he's not carrying a Soderstrom trade. Duno is too far away for an A's team that wants to win more games in '26.
I believe that Lodolo will breakout. He is undervalued now. He would carry a trade for Soderstrom. I like that TS hits LH and RH equally as well.
I haven't seen a Soderstrom or Kurtz trade that I liked. I'm open to Langeliers IF there's a viable, starting-caliber headed back to the A's... otherwise that's an awful lot of pitches hitting the backstop! And yes, I'm curious about Marte's glove at 3B.
On Marte's glove. That is the reason the Reds moved him to RF. I remember reading scout's reports that he would end up in RF when he was in Seattle's system. What would be the players you would like to see coming from Cincinnati, in separate deals, for a.) Soderstrom or b.) Kurtz? I see Susac as a catcher like Dillon Dingler in Detroit. I think he is a sleeper.
I was worried that was the case with Marte. I also think Susac is crap. I don't think the Reds and A's match well. I think Lodolo is over-rated and for all of Hunter Greene's talent, I believe the IL is inevitable. I have zero interest in trading Kurtz and think Soderstrom will be even better in 2026.
I like some trades. I upvoted branden800's A's/Nats trade yesterday!
