4Down vote for the A's. I'd like to move Severino and I'd be OK with the A's kicking in cash to facilitate a deal. But I wouldn't part with Perkins to get it done. And I wouldn't swap Perkins for Baty straight up.
Yeah fair enough. It doesn't really make sense for the A's to move any prospects to add someone like Baty, who while is having a career best season, is not going to result in a 10 win improvement
Would the Mets be in the market to "add" Severino this winter or do they stick with the existing arms and their prospects?
They have a lot of SPs, seems like 6 guys fighting for 2 spots. They have some money off the books, Marte, Winker and the entire bullpen aside from Reed Garrett UFAs, Diaz & Minter potentially opting out etc. I would probably lean with seeing what you have in McLean and Sproat, and maybe moving Megill to the bullpen, but I haven't been able to predict Stearns moves in his year and a half+ on the job.
