3Here's a new wrinkle. The Pads desperately need a LF upgrade & Noot has had really good numbers for the Cards thru most of the first half of '25, toss in he is a metric lover's darling. Pair him with LH do anything Matz & Top 100 C prospect Crooks for Salas. A prototypical Cards' C. Think Yadi with some speed and a secondary average to good bat.
May be, but Salas' bat has not been great. I realize he's only 19 but he also never played above AA. We Cardinal fans know something of hyped prospects flaming out at the MLB level. You KNOW Noot is an upgrade with 2 years of control remaining, there exists a narrative that Salas is a good catch no hit C.
ππΌββοΈ I like this for both sides but think the Padres need $4m π° π π π π½οΈ π½οΈ
