2I expect relievers to be massively overpaid for at this time of year. Therefore, I consider this market value. The Rays still need to find a RH OF after this move, as Caissie would be fine in AAA for another year. Josh Lowe's peripherals still indicate he's an excellent bat, so I don't want to move on from him until Caissie forces his way. Long is a sleeper, as he has a ton of power, although this might force the Rays to move Bob Seymour to another team. The Cubs badly need a better 3rd baseman, and even Mead's average bat is a huge upgrade from Matt Shaw, who has the worst exit velo in baseball. I would swap Ha Seong Kim for Mead if the Cubs would rather go that route.
Works for me.
