7This wouldn't work for Cleveland... They would want a bigger haul than two players for those two guys...
2 top 100 prospects for 2 all-stars with yrs of affordable control? LOL! No team is that stupid.
We agree... Has the world come to an end? Lol
💁🏼♀️ I don’t think Dombrowski will trade SP Painter and I think he expects him to be pitching important innings in August & September for Philadelphia…October as well. I agree with esquela when he posted “They will never draft high enough to get a pitcher like Painter and will never be able to pay for one.” so the Guardians should absolutely make this - if offered. But, even if the Guardians offered Kwan & Clase straight up for Painter I don’t think Dombrowski would even blink and he would just say NO. But overall this an excellent trade offer addressing the needs of both teams, one a contender in need of an OF & a high leverage bullpen arm and the other seemingly watching their season slip away and in need of a top of the rotation type SP and an injection of excitement into the franchise plus with the addition of a 2nd top 100 infield prospect this trade offer gets two 👍👍 I don’t think it happens though.
Daj is right, Zeke, well done, pay no attention to the criticism. Cleveland won't make, but that doesn't mean the idea isn't very, very goo
This is the most interesting trade on the board today. Cleveland gets two top 20 prospects in all of baseball with all of their service time left. They will never draft high enough to get a pitcher like Painter and will never be able to pay for one. The Phillies get 2 A+ answers to their biggest problems, and neither are rentals. Win-win. (And ouch-ouch)
Bibee was a 5th round pick... Bieber was a 4th round pick... It's not an issue for Cleveland's FO to find the talent... Also from Cleveland's perspective, they aren't the type of organization that puts everything into one player especially an SP, so they will not have Painter ranked so high and when it comes to the return, they want a top 100 SP prospect plus an MLB ready bat, at the bare minimum for Clase alone, let alone adding in Kwan...
