CC - I’m disappointed in you. Besides proposing a crazy overpay trade, you’re also including T.Johnson at 1.2MM, which is scandalous. I might have him as the Rays best pitching prospect. He’s no worse than #2 and definitely isn’t going anywhere. Anyway, this trade proposal ain’t the Rays style and is DOA.

Haha yea I agree Johnson's value is incredibly low on here, but I think part of that is because he looks more like a future reliever IMO but I also think that Adell's value is extremely low on here too, he's been quietly getting better for 2 yrs now and still has 2 yrs of control, also I don't see how Bachman has no value, he looks like the type that TB could easily make a BP weapon, he could be nasty, I'd prefer D'arnard but he somehow has negative value on here so I went with Detmars even though I think Seymour or Reifert might be better and cheaper options, mainly the overpay is the Angels are at .500 so to get them to trade controllable pieces would take a lot but I really think putting Adell in CF and adding a 30 HR bat to the lineup without adding payroll really lengthens it and makes it match up even better against some of these other teams.
I liked Adell a lot as a buy-low candidate 1-2 years ago, probably proposing 10 trades for the guy. I'd be fine with adding him even now. He's walking the walk. I like Detmers too, though at $22MM only as a SP (which the Rays don't really need). Bachman has almost no track record as a quality pitcher, so I'm not surprised by his valuation. Maybe it's a bit low, but he's not commanding anything like $10MM in trade value. I can't get behind a trade for Detmers at a $22MM value to help the Pen or overpaying by 50% for the Angels players in this trade, or giving away Johnson who I don't think is on the reliever track. Sorry... Hard pass from me (for whatever that's worth).
