5Down vote for the A's. There's not a lot of appeal to Seymore, Kinney or Johnson.
💁🏼♀️ You mean the appeal doesn’t grow and add up in a 4 for 1 ? 🤦🏻♀️ Who’ da figured? 🤔
Have you looked up the seasons that Seymour and Kinney are having? Kinney is very underrated and I think he could be similar to B Lowe, he should be moved up to AAA soon and could possibly make a mlb cameo this year, I wouldn't sleep on him he's getting to his power this year and already had above average hit tool, I think Seymour's scouting reports are off cause he's a career 2.50 era in like 6 seasons in the minors, in AAA this year he has around 99 k's in 80 innings, he'll never be an ace but he has that bulldog mentality like Braden did that could make him a solid 4 in the rotation, Johnson was a wildcard throw in
Kinney is definitely a legit prospect.... if his defense is good enough for 2B. I'm still unsure it is, but the bat is totally legit. Besides the 2023 season (when he was returning from a lost season due to injury), he has hit in the mid 130 wRC+ range every year in the minors, including this year in AA. With the way B.Taylor is playing in AA this year, I'm not sure the Rays should consider trading Kinney (if his defense is ok) because they need someone to succeed B.Lowe eventually.
I have looked up the seasons Seymour and Kinney are having. I've also read up on their scouting reports. Kinney has 6 walks in the last two months and he hasn't exactly been raking to offset that. He sounds like he could emerge as a solid 2B but he'd be another body in the mix, not the clear favorite to take over the position. I think Seymour could be another Cole Irvin (and I liked Cole Irvin) but I also know that the A's have a number of cheap, optionable arms that can eat innings. Johnson simply isn't my flavor of lotto ticket. I'd prefer a more advanced bullpen type, like Reifert.
