3Burlison is streaky and right now, Cards have too many DH first type on Roster, but he may fill Padres need in LF where they have been horrendous. Herrera seems to be squeezing Burly out of DH at bats. Why is Jason Adam so Under rated? Dude has been stellar for three years and could elevate cards bullpen. Kash Mayfield is a rising star and Neighbors could evolve into a strong bullpen option next year. BTV sees this as slight overpay, But Cards can fortify a wobbly bullpen now. They can get to the playoffs without Burly contributing, but in a few months they will regret not strengthening their bullpen before they wear out Romero and Leahy.

Agree with you on the Cardinals need to move Burleson, but I would try for a better return. I know the trade values show a slight overpay, but I would prefer fewer, but more valuable player(s) in retturn.
Agree with your assessment. In going around the league I really couldn’t find two many teams other than Red Sox who would value Burlison as high at this time. Cards have to move on from either Burleson or Gorman. I also think Jason Adam is far more valuable to us this year than 1.9 , and other than Nett, Mayfield and Neighbors would be good long term investments. Always fun to look back at the previous months proposals to see which ones age well. BTW I took your input and posted a Burleson to Boston proposal in a one for one swap based on you and Ms. Dajubas perspective. Thanks Thanks for the feedback Esquela, I respect your posts and ideas
