As a Rays fan, I would be surprised if the Rays were interested in this trade. The Rays have a full outfield and really have no room for a guy like Alcantara right now. Plus, Alcantara is having a down year in AAA and will likely see his trade value fall in the mid year update. Triantos is an even worse fit for the Rays. He strikes me as another Curtis Mead, who the Rays can barely find 10 PAs a week for, and that’s before HSK comes off the IL and guys like C.Williams, B.Taylor, X.Isaac and T.Morgan start getting promoted to the Show. Like Alcantara, Triantos is having a down year and will see his trade value drop in the midyear update. I know Cubs fans don’t want to part with anyone but the guys they don’t want or need, but if they want Ras, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the price was Horton.
