No Brandon Lowe. He's a simulator filler to make the computer accept the deal. Just Drew Rasmussen, and Dodgers pay all of Barnes' salary. The Dodgers need pitching right now, not July 31. Rasmussen is likely the best starting pitcher available at the deadline, and he's available now in my simulation. In order for the Rays to move Ras now and give up on the season in May, they demand a massive overpay. If Rasmussen wasn't a 2 time TJ recipient, he'd be worth $50M. Additionally, Rasmussen has a history of being dominant both in the rotation and in the bullpen. I think Rasmussen is undervalued for those reasons, especially for a cash rich team that can absorb a dead contract. Rasmussen could be the Dodgers #2 SP in the postseason, or their closer for the next 3 years, depending on team needs. If they want to take a top 50 SP and turn him into a swing man, he can do it.

I like those guys but I kinda feel if you're moving Rasmussen this early in the season you have to go for broke and aim for one of the OF triplets in De Paula, Hope, or Quintero, to me if you could get Hope, a good pitching prospect, and a wildcard that would be worth moving Rasmussen so soon, but I worry with the extention does TB even trade him or does he make it to the deadline healthy even.
