1This is kind of a grab bag trade for the Rays. They move their closer to the Phillies, who need to replace Alvarado, and in return they get 4 guys at 4 different positions. Spikerman is listed here as a SS but he's been playing outfield for the past 2 years and has the tools to play a pretty good CF. Kemp is having a monster 2025 at the plate, and while I don't expect him to be an offensive star at the next level, the Rays could probably use a good, not great infielder who carries a bigger bat than some of the defensive stars the Rays have in the minors (after their top prospects C.Williams and B.Taylor). Pan has starting potential and could remain a SP into the Show. You can't have enough pitching. Then there's Ricketts, who is just a throw-in at the position of greatest need for the Rays. I'm not sure a trade like this gets it done for Fairbanks though, as the Rays need more quality less quantity trades, and with the way their most likely to be traded players are playing this year, Fairbanks is one of the few players who might return that quality if the Rays play their cards right.
