I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to become a believer in Misner. His new approach at the plate isn’t just a result of a handful of timely hit HRs. He has cut his K rate down significantly. That was what I always felt would keep him from having more than a few spot games in the Show. He now looks legit. If Morel keeps playing at his current level, which wouldn’t be totally unexpected, and Deluca and Lowe return strong from IL, the Rays’ outfield might be a team strength, and that’s before we even get to Magnum, Palacios and Caballero. It’s a long season and anything can happen, but I think the outfield is generally ok right now. Not sure I see a place for Alcantara with the Rays right now.

Yea I was always a big fan of Misner with his power and speed combo, I wanted him to get a bunch of playing time last year after the trade deadline instead of wasting AB's on Siri. I think the OF is doing much better but I still look at it as TB has an elite infield coming, I think the future pitching staff has the chance to be elite too so the only areas lacking would be OF and catching, I like Keegan and Driscoll so if they could pick up one more high end catching prospect that would be there too which just leaves the OF. Guys like Palacios, DeLuca, Mangum are really probably just spare parts, DeLuca would be a good 4th/5th OF though, I don't think Simpson's game translate to mlb but I have hope for Smith and Ledbetter. The appeal of Alcantara though is he has allstar potential, you could plug him in LF or RF and he'd fit that roster with the Williams, Caminero, Morgan, etc...

Deluca had a great start to the year, but I agree that he may not be any better than Misner and Magnum in the field. If either of those guys looks like a better option at the plate, and Misner certainly does right now, Deluca may be out of a job. Morel and Lowe should be the top options in COF.
