2If the Rays like Ford, then I suppose a Diaz or B.Lowe trade to Seattle can’t be totally dismissed with Ford as the return piece. Personally, I think Ford is far too much potential than actual production behind the plate, and since that’s what the Rays value the most in catchers, Ford is a poor fit for the Rays. In any event, Locklear won’t interest the Rays at 1B/DH, which is a huge team strength, so he’s out no matter what, and Danner is just a throw in. Personally, I would insist on Montes, Celesten or Arroyo in any trade with Seattle if I was TBR.
