1🤕 Kutter Crawford pitched with Patellar tendonitis in his right knee for all of 2024 after tripping covering first base in his third start, and had a setback in December 2024 in the weight room which has caused him to miss the start of the 2025 season. Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Friday that Crawford has not yet been cleared to face hitters. Crawford is throwing bullpen sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays and threw a two-inning, up-and-down bullpen last Friday afternoon. He has been working out in Boston, not in Fort Myers, and expects to continue to do that in the coming weeks. The next big step for Crawford would be facing hitters for the first time since camp opened. He won’t face hitters next week, but if everything continues to go as they’re going, It should probably be sometime in the next two to three weeks.
