2This is good for both sides. The O's need better starting pitching. Getting 4 years of an ace gives them 3 top of the rotation arms for a long playoff run. The Mariners offense is awful. Holliday is still only 20 years old, and takes over 2nd base. Mayo rakes, and is MLB ready. Kremer slots into the back of the rotation, which still has 2 aces and 2 more quality options, plus Brash coming back, who should be transitioned to the rotation.
I like this proposal for both teams. O's have to realize that to get a Top SP they need to give up top prospects. Mariners need to give up top SP to get top hitters. One question: would the Mariners prefer an established hitter in lieu of top propects? Nice deal Oatmeal!
