Twins could soft retool to re-open a bigger and stronger window for the 2028+ season by getting Clark to pair with Jenkins and this allows the Tigers window to be wide open in 2025 through the rest of having Tarik Skubal on the roster. This is a trade off of winning now vs winning in the future and I think it’s a fair trade off for both teams. The Twins would never be able to retain Lopez past his 3 year deal as is so mind as well deal him and tool up for a run in a few years
