I will be blunt, I actually don't think Minnesota would take this deal... Cleveland may say no since DeLauter's ceiling is way higher than Julien's ceiling, but getting a solid SP prospect back with him, could make it worth it... That being stated DeLauter has a bad foot and it's possible that derails his career so I can't see the giving up an MLB ready arm in the deal, but Cleveland wouldn't give up DeLauter without that type of return back... Also Cleveland would have to trade two players since they have a full 40 mam roster, so Cleveland may say no to logistics on this one as well... Plus the Twins have Ryan Jeffers, who is a solid catcher so putting this much into Teel makes little sense to me

I really appreciate your comment SportsCoach, a CLE/ CWS/ MN trade is always tricky. Pertaining CLE & MN, I'm addressing their big holes. CLE desperately needs quality depth at SP & 2B, filling those big holes greatly improves CLE as a team. Julien fills that hole at 2B & can be used to sub Santana at 1B & replace him in '26. Matthews is a promising young MLB-ready SP that CLE can utilize more than MN can. MN fans will balk at letting them go but... Vazquez/ Jeffers catching tandem is a good one but has no depth. Camargo is AAAA, the rest haven't proven that they can catch & hit at AAA yet & Camargo's hitting has declined at AAA. They desperately need at least one promising MLB-ready catcher that can help support that tandem & step in to take over when Vazquez & Jeffers are gone. CLE's FO is creative, IMO he can maneuver a trade that can alleviate a roster problem or we can expand this trade to solve this problem. IMO that is what all this is all about. Making teams better & giving players more opportunities to shine. If CLE doesn't want to improve through MN then I'll go straight to CWS, if CWS balks then I'll change the target. This is a problem that MN can no longer ignore.

Cleveland has no probably with 2B depth actually... Now, they do lack proven guys on paper, but they wouldn't have traded Gimenez like they did unless they felt someone in house could replace him... They have 6 guys on the roster that have logged significant amount of innings in the minors at 2B... Then they have Bazzana who is due in the bigs likely in 26 (could be sooner) and he's a 2B... Fry was drafted as a 2B (hurt in 25, but can play there) and JRam was brought up as a 2B (though I don't they will move him off of 3B)... Now getting Zebby with Julien makes some sense for Cleveland, but Cleveland has more upper minor SPs than the media knows... DeLauter is someone Cleveland needs more than a 2B or a young SP...
