the tigers get a better pitcher 2025, a certain starter.Tiger stadium a good place for Stroman to pitch. Yankees get slight ($8M) salary relief and get an older but functional bullpen piece to at least eat up some long relief innings. the option doesn't scare Detroit because if Stroman pitches 140 innings it would be because he is effective, as I would somewhat expect him to be. NY could turn around and move Maeda before much time passes if they so desire
