I think I've come full circle on a trade of Ford to the Rays, and I'm no longer all that interested. The Rays are notorious for not playing catchers who are bad fielders, and if reports are true that Ford is developing slowly behind the plate, then I don't know that I want the Rays to take on a player they won't play down the road, regardless of his bat, athleticism and overall potential to be a really good catcher eventually. So I'm back to wanting Arroyo, Celesten or Montes in any trade for B.Lowe or Diaz.

The only problem is TB is saying they aren't trading Diaz and B Lowe, I agree I've never been a big believer of Ford, I'd love to have him of course and would be happy with this trade but wouldn't go crazy trying to get him, he makes me think of Jason Kendall which would great but I think TB would receive more benefit from a better defensive catcher.
