Rays aren’t looking to add borderline replacement players at the expense of a potential 3-4 Win player and one of their top prospects. No team makes a trade like this. Its cute that Guardian fans are voting for the Rays to do this trade though.

Not gonna disagree here... Guys like Brennan and Arias don't make a ton of sense if you are trading a prospect like Simpson in the deal... Now if it was straight for Lowe only, then it at least has some merit since getting Cantillo and Messick makes some sense... Then at that time Cleveland just stays in house and wants til the trade deadline to make a move...

Yeah, if the trade was Lowe for young and cheap players it could make sense.

Like if the return for Lowe by himself was Arias, Cantillo and Messick, you would be like, cool I get the trade... Simpson who stole over 100 bases for essentially a platoon bat in Brennan is like huh? Heck no...

LOL. Always trying to pin me down. Actually, I don’t want Cantillo at all, as I think he’s a very replaceable MIRP in the Show. Arias would work if the Rays think he has potential to break out, either in the field or at the plate, but if he is what he is at this point, then I wouldn’t want him either. Messick is fine as a secondary piece in a Lowe trade.

*whistles* no comment.... lol Honestly though I feel like we are on the same page on like what to expect IF Lowe gets traded... But with the Rays looking at like more of 27 as a playoff year, I don't see them moving anyone right now that could be a piece of that run or trading any big assets that could contribute in that year... I feel like at the trade deadline you may have a few changes...

Yeah, the Rays are setting up for their next run. I expect both Lowe and Diaz to be traded before OD26 along with pitchers like Ras, Littell, maybe McClanny, Fairbanks, Cleavinger, and a slew of AAA arms that don’t factor into the Rays plans. Rays will hold onto their prospects until they prove they are major leaguers or they have lost all their trade value.
