2This deal at least makes some sense for both teams... Noel immediately replaces Rooker in the lineup... Martinez takes over 3B... Cantillo into the rotation and Humphries is a longer term guy, but has a big arm like the As like...
Down vote for the A's. Noel is a platoon bat, nothing more. If Forst thinks otherwise... well, he'd be Dave Forst. The next time Cantillo stays healthy will be the first time. The A's signing Gio Urshela takes some of the edge off needing to add a 3B. I do like Martinez and Humphries but I like Rooker better. There's also the issue of cutting two players from the 40 man roster to make this deal fit. There's one obvious DFA but the second would be tough.
